Uneven surface after burning soy wax

As you enjoy the light and warmth of a soy candle, you are likely to notice something that may make you wonder: the surface of the candle looks rough and uneven after each burn (like the cauliflower effect in soy waxes). While this may seem unusual to those unfamiliar with soy candles, it is a sign of excellent quality and natural origin and does not affect the performance of your candle.

Why is this happening;

During combustion, soy changes from solid to liquid, and then, as it cools, takes the form of wax (polymorphism). Due to different cooling rates and burning conditions, various textures can be created on the surface of the wax, such as tracheas, cuts or other shapes. Especially if the room temperature changes suddenly (e.g. I extinguish the candle outside to avoid the smell of smoke, so it cools down very quickly.)

Performance

While the surface may be uneven, this does not affect the performance of the wax. Soy wax remains true to its nature and continues to provide a clean and aromatic burn.
